Brief Overview NorthCare Network Practice Guidelines

Gogebic Community Mental Health adopts and disseminates Clinical Practice Guidelines for individuals and families served by utilizing reliable clinical practices that are evidenced based and support the delivery of specialty mental health services and the provision of substance use disorder services.

Gogebic Community Mental Health adopts the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Guidelines, Council of Autism Providers, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Guidelines, The MDHHS Bureau of Children’s Coordinated Health Policy and Supports, Veterans Administration/Department of Justice (VA/DOJ) Practice Guidelines, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) Guidelines, Trauma Informed Oregon Guidelines, and Region-Specific Guidelines.

Gogebic Community Mental Health reviews its Clinical Practice Guidelines on an annual basis. Guidelines are based on valid and reliable clinical evidence or a consensus of health car professionals in the particular field; consider the needs of the enrollees; are adopted in consultation with health care professionals; and are reviewed and updated periodically as appropriate.
