Mental Health First Aid Training
August 16, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
CMH is once again hosting Mental Health First Aid training next week, Wednesday and Thursday, August 15th and 16th; the adult version will be on Wednesday, the 15th and the youth version will be on Thursday, the 16th. The article regarding such (and describing each class) that was in the Daily Globe and the Wakefield News Bessemer Pick & Axe is attached. Classes are a full 8-hour day and will start at 8 a.m. in the CMH Board Room. Attendees must attend the entire 8-hour training (per version) in order to receive the 3-year certification. Classes are free and include lunch.
And, of course we welcome Phil back as our trainer; there are over 12,000 MHFA instructors in the United States and Phil was honored by the President and CEO of The National Council for Behavioral Health (Washington, D.C.) as being one of the top 100 instructors in the United States!
More than 1 million people across the Unites States have been trained in MHFA; Michigan is one of the top five states in the US with the most people trained in MHFA, with having close to 30,000 people trained!! There is enough room for about 10 more registrations per class, so please share this information with friends and family (and my contact information to register) who may be interested in becoming MHFA certified and to help keep the State of Michigan in the top 5!
