It is with great pleasure that the Gogebic Community Mental Health Authority Board of Directors announces Ms. Tess Greenough as their newly appointed Chief Executive Officer.  A native of Wakefield, Ms. Greenough attended Gogebic Community College and went on to pursue her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Alaska Pacific University during the time her spouse was serving our country and stationed at Elmendorf AFB, AK.  Upon her husbands’ honorable discharge, the couple decided to return to the area with their young family and make Gogebic County their home.  Ms. Greenough served as Executive Director at Domestic Violence Escape, Inc. (DOVE) prior to her employment with Gogebic Community Mental Health Authority.  A licensed mental health professional, Ms. Greenough served in several roles in the organization preceding her promotion to interim Chief Executive Officer in June 2023.

When asked, Ms. Greenough stated that her vision is to continue to provide quality care to individuals in Gogebic County who have serious emotional disturbances, mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders, and to lead the team of qualified professionals employed by Gogebic Community Mental Health Authority into the future with a focus on Community, Collaboration, and Commitment.
