Event includes program and Sunday Lake stroll
WAKEFIELD – The 12th annual rally known as “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” will take place on Sept. 18 next to Sunday Lake in Wakefield. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Wakefield
VFW Post 9084 at 107 U.S. 2 in Wakefield. A program then will be held at 10:30 a.m.
“A short, symbolic walk will follow,” states a promotional flyer, which adds,
“Always remember that you matter. Together, we can stop the stigma.”
The Gogebic County Community Mental Health Authority is sponsoring the event, along with the Range Suicide Prevention Council.
